    Shortly before midnight on Saturday, Edward Nugent, an air-traffic controller at Washington National Airport, notices seven slow-moving returns on his radar roughly 15 miles south-southwest of the city, in airspace with no scheduled traffic. His superior, senior controller Harry Barnes, watches the scope and later calls the movements radically unlike ordinary aircraft.

    Searchers report finding large footprints in soft ground near the hill. Plaster casts are made of some prints, described as roughly ten inches long with unusual toes. No hair, bone, or other physical remains are recovered alongside them.

    At 04:09 UTC, CrowdStrike releases a Rapid Response Content configuration update (Channel File 291) to its Falcon sensor on Windows. Machines that receive it and are running sensor version 7.11 or later begin crashing almost immediately into blue screens of death and boot loops. CrowdStrike reverts the update at 05:27 UTC, about 78 minutes later, but hosts that already crashed require manual remediation.

    Spain beat Argentina 1-0 in the final at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. Within hours, social feeds fill with posts claiming the match was fixed, several built on fabricated images, including a doctored picture used to allege the referee was a Spain supporter.
