Autopsies establish that Abby died well before Andrew, undercutting any theory that a single intruder killed both in one quick attack. A hatchet head with a freshly broken handle is later found in the cellar, but it carries no blood and is never conclusively tied to the wounds.

Ettore Majorana is born in Catania, Sicily, into a prominent family. He shows prodigious mathematical talent early and, in the late 1920s, joins Enrico Fermi's group of young physicists in Rome, the so-called Via Panisperna boys.
- 1962Marilyn Monroe's deathUnsolved Crimes & Disappearances
In the early hours, Monroe is found dead in the bedroom of her home on Fifth Helena Drive in Brentwood. Her housekeeper Eunice Murray and psychiatrist Dr. Ralph Greenson are present; police are called at about 4:25 a.m. Deputy medical examiner Dr. Thomas Noguchi performs the autopsy that day and finds no anatomical cause of death, sending tissue for toxicology.

Nixon releases the 23 June 1972 tape transcript, admitting for the first time that he had ordered the CIA to obstruct the FBI's inquiry days after the break-in.

The Coast Guard releases the Marine Board of Investigation's report, more than 300 pages with 17 safety recommendations. It concludes the implosion was preventable and attributes it primarily to OceanGate's inadequate design, testing, maintenance and inspection of the Titan, together with a toxic workplace culture and gaps in regulation.
