    With crowds of armed hunters now roaming the area, White County authorities under Sheriff Roy Poshard Jr. arrest five young men from out of town for hunting violations and as a threat to public safety after they open fire at something they say they saw in the underbrush. Poshard reportedly warns McDaniel to stop drawing crowds.

    François Mitterrand is re-elected president three days after the assault. Critics later argue the timing of Operation Victor, in the final days of a tight campaign, was shaped as much by electoral pressure as by operational necessity, a charge the government rejected.

    A federal jury in Miami convicts four defendants, including CTU owners Antonio Intriago and Arcángel Pretel Ortiz, financier Walter Veintemilla, and CTU associate James Solages, of conspiracy to kill or kidnap Moïse. Prosecutors said the aim was to topple him and win lucrative government contracts; the ultimate mastermind is not named.

    STAT reports that misinformation about the outbreak is 'spreading faster than the virus', documenting early bioweapon and 'plandemic' framings taking hold on social platforms within days of the first news.

    The Department of War launches the PURSUE portal at war.gov/UFO, publishing an initial 162 files covering more than 400 UAP incidents from 1947 to 2026.
