The Betz family, inspecting a brush fire on their land on Fort George Island, Florida, comes across a polished metal sphere about eight inches across and roughly 22 pounds. Terry Betz keeps it as a curiosity.
- 2018Titan submersibleScience, Space & Technology
The Manned Underwater Vehicles committee of the Marine Technology Society sends a letter to Stockton Rush, signed by dozens of industry figures, warning that OceanGate's experimental approach and refusal to seek independent classification could lead to negative outcomes ranging from minor to catastrophic. The Titan is never classed by DNV or any recognized body.

At a large Islamabad rally, Khan pulls a folded paper from his pocket and waves it, telling the crowd it is evidence of a foreign conspiracy to topple his government. He does not read the text aloud but soon points explicitly at the United States.
